Every airship generates Command Points at the beginning of each turn. These points represent the attention, coordination, and resources available to its captain, and every action requires a thoughtful investment. Maneuver into a stronger position, reinforce damaged systems, fire powerful weapons, repair critical damage, or hold resources in reserve for the unexpected. Every decision comes with an opportunity cost.
Rather than waiting for one player to complete an entire turn, Command Points are spent in alternating activations. Every decision immediately influences the next, creating a battlefield that constantly evolves as each commander reacts to changing circumstances.
The result is a fast-paced tactical experience where planning ahead is essential, adaptability is rewarded, and every Command Point has the potential to influence the outcome of the battle.

Airships & Empires features six distinct altitude levels, transforming every engagement into a true three-dimensional contest. Commanders must think beyond distance and direction, using height to gain tactical advantages, protect vulnerable ships, and create opportunities that simply do not exist on a flat battlefield.
Altitude influences movement, weapon effectiveness, and the angles from which attacks can be delivered. A well-timed climb can place an airship beyond an opponent's reach, while a carefully planned descent can open devastating firing opportunities against an exposed enemy.
